the price of creativity | being a sponge

Once you decide about your career choice, you have to be sure and passionate about it. Despite the fact we usually change our minds about the decisions we make during the process, we have to do the best we can and to focus. For ourselves.

I believe you are a creative person. And you know what is the best part about it? You have to be always creative, however, you can never turn off. Ever.

"Be interested. Watch everything, read everything, listen to everything, eat, sleep, smell everything - be a sponge. Don't edit your life. Don't be a culture snob." - Flo Heiss (Creative Director | Dare, London)

Commitment. I believe this is the part which we are missing during the process of work. These days people tend to commit only when it comes to relationship. However, you don't leave a person after every single sad or hard moment. You try to find the solutions, to understand your mistakes and to move on. The exactly same thing we should do while working. This type of commitment does not necessarily spark fear, though it most definitely sparks laziness. Is it the right choice? Am I in the right place? The headache of most young creatives these days. However, once you get too interested in other areas, the field of your interest doesn't reach the highest level. Focus.

"Creativity is like a library. If you keep taking books out and don't put any in, you eventually won't have any books left." - Siimon Reynolds.

Be interested. Be curious. Commit and focus.
